- 5 different cards in total on heavy card stock paper. These cards are almost 50 years old and are great shots of Elvis rockin the U.S.A. in 1972!!!! In very good condition, very light creases and some handling wear.
The cards have been trimmed on the bottom, the size is 14 inches by 9 1/2 inches.
If the lobby cards were not trimmed the actual size would be 14 inches by 11 inches, so about a 1 1/2 inch was trimmed on the bottom, this is were the writing was advertising the movie. The story goes, I bought this collection which came from the Colonel's / Diskin office, the staff timmed these cards so they could be used for promotional purposes and that the MGM information on card would not shown. How crazy this sounds, it does make sense to me, the Colonel's office would re-use / re-purpose all the promtional items he had to save a buck!!!
