    The Story:
I am a professional sushi chef, and have been in the sushi/foodservice industry since I was 15, I am near 40 now. At the age of 24 I purchased the local sushi bar and ran it very successfully until 2014 when my landlord decided he wanted to take all my profits. Without a plan I shut the doors and walked away from my dream. I spent the next couple years doing private, in-home, sushi parties all the while hoping that another suitable retail spot would open up. That spot never materialized, but this trailer did! It was being used as a permanently located, very small, baking operation. Unfortunately, the owner couldn't make ends meet and had to walk away. I caught wind of the situation from the landowner where the bakery was operating and went to have a look. I didn't exactly have a plan involving a trailer, but when I set foot in this one I felt right at home. I jumped through a ton of hoops to buy this out of default and parked it at my house. Cue the winter of 2017/18. One of the mountain passes near my town received almost 600 inches of snow....it was an EPIC winter. I had to shovel the roof of my house 3 times which is unheard of. This also means I had to keep the roof of the trailer clear. I was doing a pretty good job until, in one night, we got about 3 feet of what we call "Sierra cement".....wet, heavy, and relentless. My heart sunk that morning when I went out to clear snow and found that the roof of the trailer had buckled under the immense load of snow. After clearing the snow...and my tears, I secured an awesome warehouse space down the hill and on the first semi-clear day, there were very few that year, I drove the trailer down and parked it where it has been ever since.
When I was able to fully inspect the damage I found that, while devastating, it was confined to the roof deck. I stripped the deck and came up with a plan to rebuild. The original structure only had 4 stamped steel roof supports, they were spaced about every 4 feet, it never stood a chance. I decided to go with 1"x1.5" aluminum square tube with 1/8" wall and I put one every 16 inches. Between the joists I put 1.5" foil backed insulation. On the inside, I installed brand new sheets of FRP. Above the joists I used 3/8" plywood. I capped the whole thing off with a single, continuous sheet of EPDM rubber RV roof and aluminum edging all around. All seams and screws were coated with RV roof sealant. I wouldn't go throwing dance parties on it....or leaving it in extreme snow storms, but I believe this roof to be much better than the original. I am into this trailer for about 30k.
    What it all means:
This is a great trailer that has unfortunately never lived up to its potential. I have come to the conclusion that I am not the person to make that happen. My wife and I now have a 2-year-old, and we have another child being born very soon. My dreams of taking my restaurant out on the open road will have to wait. I just do not have the time or money to finish the trailer, and the storage fees would make a great diaper fund.
    What it needs:
    1.
As you can see in the pictures, the hood vent fan needs to reinstalled, This should be pretty straight forward. I still have the steel frame and tin that was originally used.
    2.
The air conditioning unit also needs to be reinstalled (if desired). The above-roof part of the air conditioner appears to be fine, but the inside panel with the controls was pretty badly damaged in the collapse.....I can't remember if I kept it. I did not cut a hole for the unit in the new roof, so you can decide where you want to put it. The joists are easily located by the screw heads on the FRP roof.
    3.
The grey water tank is leaking. I do not know exactly why. Probably just needs a patch but worst case scenario, replacement is not a big deal.
    4.
I have not run the refrigerators that you can see in the pictures in quite some time so I do not know if they work or not, but if they do, and you want them, they are yours.
    5.     The exterior running lights may or may not work, easily fixed.
    6.    You and your business plan to really give this trailer the run it deserves!
I had tons of pictures to upload, but eBay limited me to 12. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I will do my best to answer. Thank you for looking and happy bidding!
